I freely admit that I consider myself an intellectual elitist. Does it make me a narcissist? Maybe. Do I care? No.

The library is free. Ignorance is not something I’m willing to tolerate.

Though this may severely limit the number of people that I can consider friends, I’d much rather have a small number of intelligent friends than a large number of ignorant ones.

Though I haven’t yet perfected how to express this ideal as inoffensively as possible, it’s a belief that I consider to be at the heart of who I am.  Intelligence is the most important attribute to me, and it probably always will be.
